I LOVE wainscoting...just love it. So, when I had my floors re-done I realized that my staircase got lost in all of the beautiful "toast" colored bamboo. Did I mention I love wainscoting!? So, I went down to my local Home Depot and purchased some very inexpensive MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) and decided that I was going to add some wainscoting up my stair unit. What turned out was a simple two-day project that gave my only staircase the focus and attention that she needed. I loved it SO much that I wrapped it around the corner at the top of the stairs and continued the look at the bottom of the stairs going into my dining room and kitchen. This is truly something ANYONE can do...all you need is the MDF, nails, putty and paint...it's that simple! I don't have pictures of the finished dining room just yet, I've purchased a new kitchen table and chairs and have yet to capture them in a photo, but soon.

Oh yeah! What an impact! I have wainscoting in my kitchen and laundry room and I just love it.
